EPIC'S ENTERPRISE PROJECT

EPIC provides a unique opportunity for our service users to not only enhance their personal development but explore their professional development whilst doing so.

Our enterprise project in collaboration with local dog treats company, Nelson’s Treats, enables the group to fully experience every element of running a business. The success of this project relies on group participation and responsibilities are delegated considering each of the participants skill set, goals and enthusiasm for the task. From taking online orders to posting the products, our service users provide a full end to end service and learn vital skills along the way, such as: Money management, IT skills, written and verbal communication, time keeping, fine motor skills, creativity, managing expectations and basic hygiene.

Once our group have decorated and packed their dog treats, they then place a “packed by” sticker on the front, so buyers know exactly who they are supporting by purchasing this product. It is important to us that the participants of the enterprise project are at the forefront throughout, we want to share their progress and success with a wide audience as to not only acknowledge their achievements but also break the stigma around people with Autism and their capabilities.

Some EPIC attendees have faced low expectations throughout their lives, this project provides them with an opportunity that they would not have access to outside of our provision.

THE PRODUCT

In collaboration with local dog treats business Nelson's Treats, our young people have created a unique product available to purchase for your four legged friends.

Any profit made from the sale of the product will directly benefit the EPIC young people as funds are reinvested back into EPIC Social Care CIC.
