EPIC 6 Month Round Up: Celebrating Growth, Achievement and Community
As we reflect on the year so far and bring another chapter to a close, we’re incredibly proud of the progress, achievements and connections made across EPIC. It’s been a year of growth — not just in skills, but in confidence, friendships and community.

Welcoming New Faces
This year we were delighted to welcome two new starters to EPIC. From the outset, they have integrated beautifully into the group, building strong relationships and becoming valued members of our community. Seeing confidence grow and friendships form is always one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.
Sporting Success and National Achievements

Our sports programme has gone from strength to strength this year, offering structured,
inclusive opportunities for physical activity, teamwork and self-belief.
With the incredible support of Chris and Sam from Malvern Karate,

our young people achieved Silver and Bronze medals at the JSK National Karate Inclusive Championships. These achievements reflect not only sporting ability, but commitment, resilience and the confidence to step into new challenges — something we’re
immensely proud of.
Weekly Highlights: Basketball Buddies

Our Basketball Buddies sessions with Coach Joe have quickly become a weekly highlight. Week by week, we’ve seen huge progress in communication, agility, teamwork and sportsmanship. The sessions provide a space where confidence grows naturally through encouragement, routine and shared success.
Ending the Year Together
We were thrilled to bring the year to a close by welcoming families into EPIC to celebrate alongside us. The day showcased our work through a homemade buffet prepared by EPIC service users, building on their life-skills learning in a meaningful and practical way.
Festive carols filled the room, accompanied by our fantastic drumming instructors Rhythm Reaction, creating a joyful, inclusive celebration that truly captured the spirit of EPIC.
Looking Ahead to 2026
We're thrilled to announce that in the coming year, we'll be launching our innovative NeuroSafe Spaces project! This initiative will create more neurodiverse-friendly environments in our community, helping to break down barriers and create truly inclusive spaces where everyone can thrive. We look forward to sharing more details in January as we embark on this exciting new chapter but we are pleased to announce that this project is being supported by Liverpool John Lennon Airport!
We are so proud of everything our young people have achieved this year so far and deeply grateful to our families, partners and supporters who make this work possible.
As we look ahead to 2026, we’re excited to continue building opportunities for growth, creativity, confidence and connection — and we can’t wait to see what the next chapter brings 💜
